What is Dermaplaning?

Dermaplaning is a highly effective, non-invasive exfoliation treatment. Using a sterile, medical-grade scalpel gently swept across the skin to safely remove the outermost layer of dead skin cells along with fine vellus hair (commonly known as "peach fuzz"). This leaves your skin immediately smoother, brighter, and perfectly prepped for flawless makeup application and maximum skincare product absorption.

What are the benefits of microneedling?

Microneedling is a powerhouse treatment for skin rejuvenation! By creating microscopic channels in the skin's surface, it triggers your body’s natural healing response to stimulate collagen and elastin production. The incredible benefits include:

  • Plumping and smoothing fine lines and wrinkles.

  • Fading acne scars, hyperpigmentation, and sun damage.

  • Improving overall skin texture and tightening pores.

  • Enhancing the penetration and effectiveness of your medical-grade skincare serums.

What’s the difference between microneedling and microchanneling?

While both treatments are phenomenal for stimulating collagen production and rejuvenating the skin, the key differences lie in the technique, the type of needles used, and the overall downtime:

  • The Technique: Microneedling uses a motorized pen that glides or rotates across the skin. Microchanneling uses a specialized "stamping" technique, tapping straight down into the skin and pulling straight back out. This vertical delivery creates clean, uniform channels without any horizontal dragging or tearing.

  • The Needles & Trauma: Microneedling utilizes slightly elongated needles, which are excellent for breaking up deep scar tissue. Microchanneling utilizes microscopic wire-filament needles that trigger a healing response with significantly less surface trauma.

  • The Serums (Stem Cells): Because of its clean, vertical stamping method, microchanneling is uniquely optimized to evenly deliver high-molecular-weight serums—like advanced human growth factors and bone marrow-derived stem cell serums (Procell)—deep into the skin for maximum cellular repair.

  • Downtime: Traditional microneedling generally leaves the skin looking and feeling like a moderate sunburn for 24 to 48 hours. Because microchanneling causes less surface irritation, any redness is typically minimal and often subsides in just 4 to 12 hours, and product can be applied after 90 minutes if you need to.

What’s the difference between microdermabrasion and aquadermabrasion?

While both treatments provide incredible exfoliation, they use different methods to reveal your glow:

  • Microdermabrasion uses a diamond-tipped wand or fine crystals combined with suction to manually buff away the dry, dead outer layer of skin. It's fantastic for tackling uneven texture and dullness.

  • Aquadermabrasion (Hydrodermabrasion) is a gentler, deeply hydrating alternative. It simultaneously exfoliates using a specialized water-jet tip while infusing the skin with nutrient-rich serums. It hydrates, cleanses, and exfoliates all at once, making it perfect for sensitive or dehydrated skin types.

How many treatments will I need before I start to see results?

You will notice a beautiful, refreshed glow immediately after your very first treatment! However, skincare is a journey, and long-term changes—like fading hyperpigmentation, smoothing scars, or reducing fine lines—take time.

For progressive concerns, we typically recommend a series of 3 to 6 treatments spaced a few weeks apart, followed by a regular monthly maintenance routine to keep your skin looking its absolute best.
